Local Business Love: Unapologetic Coffee and Mojo Market

• New local business alert! Last weekend included a visit to Unapologetic Coffee (@unapologeticcoffeeus on IG) at 1375 Main Street to pick up a bag of “Flow,” their dark roast coffee beans, after being really impressed by their smooth and flavorful medium roast “I Said What I Said.” It was great to hear the two talented and community-minded owners of this business, Alisa and Alicia Officer, explain their roasting process (with a zero-emission Bellweather roaster!), the origins of their fair-trade organic coffee beans from family or collectively owned farms, and the Chemex equipment they offer to make a great pour-over cup.
  
  Their website describes their business as “The brain child of two twin sisters, with a passion for coffee and community. A 100% Woman Owned company. At Unapologetic Coffee Co. we aim to provide small batch, roasted quality coffee direct to consumers as well as small businesses. Specifically, looking to integrate our brand message within local prospects at the traditional and non traditional markets. Fresh roasted coffee on a micro level that focuses on the social responsibility of ethnic diversity and representation.”
  
  As a Black-owned business, Alisa and Alicia recognize the underrepresentation that has been prevalent in the coffee industry, and they are striving to bring high quality coffee to the city of Buffalo and particularly the community on the East side! 
  
  Use the website link to order online and have your coffee beans (ground or whole bean) shipped right to your house, or choose to pick up right in store on the weekends and meet these awesome business owners in person! 
  
  

• Mojo Market (@_mojomarket_ on IG), located at 3030 Delaware Ave. in Kenmore and owned by Kelly Gilbert, Kaitlin Clark, Kyle Orlando and Joseph Orlando, is the perfect spot to grab a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch as well as some artisan groceries… including our magnesium balms and salt soaks now!  
  
  With the motto “Fresh, Locally Sourced, Made from Scratch,” Mojo Market offers a great menu of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, soups, coffee drinks, juices, and smoothies. Customers can order online and pick up from the service window, or order inside at the counter and hang out and eat at the cute little tables and stools in the front of the shop! 
  
  Having a party or event? Mojo Market even offers catering with lots of yummy options! 
  
  This great little shop is definitely worth checking out the next time you’re in Kenmore or the next time you want a new place to grab something healthy and delicious during your lunch break! ​
